Ontario man dies in auto-bicycle crash

The Ontario Provincial Police are investigating the death of a 49-year-old male cyclist from Hamilton following an accident believed to have occurred on Governor’s Road near the community of St. George at about 7:30 p.m. on June 5. Officers do not believe that alcohol was a factor at this time; the auto-pedestrian accident took place in daylight, and road conditions were reportedly dry.

2 motorcyclists die in Highway 17 head-on crash

The Ontario Provincial Police are reporting that two people, a 48-year-old man and woman, have died as a consequence of a head-on crash on Highway 17. The incident took place in Markstay-Warren on June 7 at approximately 5 p.m., about 50 kilometres east of Sudbury.

16-year-old biker dies in crash

An accident claimed the life of a teenage pedestrian on Ontario’s County Road 50 on May 30. The 16-year-old was pushing his dirt bike by the side of the road when he was hit by a minivan just before 10 p.m. The Ontario Provincial Police are continuing to investigate the reason for the auto-pedestrian accident. They did not speculate if speed, weather or road conditions, or driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs contributed to the accident.

SUV crashes into bank, only 1 injured

Police are saying that driver error was the reason that an SUV crashed into a TD bank in a Toronto suburb. On May 16, shortly before 7 a.m., two people were inside the building using the ATMs when the vehicle came through the window, and one of them suffered minor injuries to her leg. The bank is located at Winston Churchill Boulevard and Aquitaine Avenue at Meadowvale Town Centre in Mississauga.

Ontario car crash results in 1 death and multiple injuries

A five-vehicle crash that occurred on the QEW near Port Credit has resulted in one death and multiple injuries. According to police, the accident occurred around 7:30 a.m. May 4 when a Nissan Murano became disabled in the right eastbound lane on the QEW near Cawthra Road. The Murano was being assisted by a tow truck in front of it and a Ministry of Transportation crash truck behind it when a white van crashed into the MTO truck with such force that it ripped the van apart and ejected two of its passengers.

Several people injured in multiple-vehicle Ontario car crash

Several people were injured in a multiple-vehicle crash in Burlington that occurred on April 28. According to an OPP constable, a minor collision that occurred around 6:35 p.m. on Highway 403 led to a police officer pulling over to the shoulder of the road along with five other vehicles. As the officer was investigating the accident, a 44-year-old man who was driving a passing black Cadillac SUV ran into several of the vehicles parked alongside the road and struck two other vehicles.
