Man dies in fatal intersection crash, truck driver charged

On May 1, Ontario Provincial Police in South Bruce received a call at around 6:10 p.m. about a fatal traffic accident involving two vehicles. The crash occurred at the Huron-Bruce Road and Bruce County Road 28 intersection in what used to be Carrick Township.

Ontario car accident results in 1 woman’s death

A number of Ontario police and emergency services responded to a three-vehicle crash around 6 a.m. on March 4 that left one woman dead. The accident occurred on London Road near Exeter, and the road was closed for several hours afterward. According to reports, the 19-year-old driver of a Jeep Wrangler, travelling north, crossed the centre line and hit a Toyota Solara and a Chrysler Intrepid that were both southbound.

Right of way when driving in Ontario

When someone is at an intersection, they must wait until they have right-of-way to proceed. Right-of-way is determined by the order that people arrive at an intersection, and if automobiles arrive at the same time, it is determined by where each vehicle is located in relation to each other. At a four-way intersection with stop signs on all corners, the first person to an intersection has right-of-way, but if two or more vehicles arrive at the same time, the individual on the right is allowed to travel first.
